Dark Times

The sun set before it rose,

Taking with it away the glimmer of hope.

Before the dusk it was dark,

Pitch black, reflecting my life stark.

Wearing a mask,

I went about my task.

Wished for a place of complete bliss,

Only to end up in a deep abyss
.

P.S. Sorry to my dear friend, who tried convincing me on not to publish such a sad poem.

  1. It's not at all similar to the poem, To Turn To Darkness. The only similarity lies in the negativity of the mood. However, I like the simplicity in your lines. Makes the poem look sad in a rather austere manner. Nice work.
