Why Endeavors Fail?

It is a question which has troubled my mind for long. Why Endeavors Fail?

Instead of crossing the winning post successfully, why do some endeavors stumble on the long drawn path? And why do some other just manage to cross the finishing line after a lot of huff and puff?

Here are a few reasons.

~~
Wrong Number

One of the fundamental reasons is solving the wrong problem.

Every endeavour can be broken down into several problems, and multiple challenges. Often you come across situations where these challenges are manifested in various forms. These patterns, these contours, make the vision hazy and the identification of the challenge difficult.

And when the bull's eye itself is not determined, how on earth can we hit the bull's eye?

Pin point the problem. Identify the cause. This is the first step to make any endeavour a success.

My Way Or The Highway

Haven't you come across situations where everyone wants their own way? Instead of pushing towards the goal, we find people pulling towards wayward destinations, many a times away from the goal.

Pulls in a multitude of directions result in lost focus and wasted energies.

A push in the right direction, and a thrust in a single direction will put you on the path to success. The highway to success.

Sleeping Over It

It is OK to sleep over an important decision. The calm mind often provides you with innovative answers. But sleeping over important decisions for days and weeks isn't an interest proposition.

Lack of decision making often results in a limbo, which can snowball into a giant glacier. Waiting for the complete information or an ideal situation is an utopian scenario.

Instead, it would be worthwhile to take constructive decisions, with the information and knowledge at hand. It is better to cut through the ice, instead of getting stuck in it. And make progressive reviews, until you are in clear water.

Everybody Has A Plan

If you are planning to start a journey without charting out the plan in detail, you may encounter rough weather.

Remember Christopher Columbus and Vasco Da Gama. They set sail from Europe to North America and India respectively.

Do you think they set sail without a plan in place?

Net in net, these are some important aspects which differentiate a winning sprinter & a majestic stayer from an also ran.

Identify the goal, chart out the course, stay put on the correct track and take decisive steps. Your endeavor will be a success.
